Research Briefing Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026.
This policy covers Haotian Research Briefing, a single-user tool operated by Haotian Hang. The tool uses a Gmail connection to prepare a personal daily report.
Gmail access and use
The tool requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly permission. Its automated Gmail queries read only selected Google Scholar alerts, research mailing lists, and newsletters or notifications approved by the owner. To prepare summaries and avoid repeated items, it reads message headers, dates, identifiers, snippets, body text, and links from matching messages. It does not send, reply to, forward, draft, archive, delete, label, mark as read, or otherwise modify Gmail messages.
Storage and sharing
OAuth credentials, selected message data, generated summaries, and reports are stored in the owner’s local OpenClaw workspace. Local snapshots and reports remain until the owner deletes them; the tool does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule. Gmail data is not published on this website.
Selected message text may be processed by the AI model services configured for OpenClaw to generate the owner’s report. The generated report, including selected titles, summaries, and links, is delivered to the owner’s private Telegram chat. Those services process the information under their own terms and privacy policies. Gmail data is not sold or used for advertising.
Control and contact
The owner can revoke the Gmail permission in Google Account third-party connections and delete locally stored snapshots and reports. Questions about this tool or its data handling can be sent to hanghaotian@gmail.com.
